Promise to the Planet

We're committed to creating less “new” waste and minimizing our environmental footprint

Buzzwords like “green” and “eco-friendly” don’t mean much without intention, transparency and effort. We strive to create less waste and make the most of our resources, minimizing our impact on the environment in our studio and designs.

LOCAL PRODUCT
Luckily for us, we have the privilege of living and working in beautiful British Columbia. The Fraser Valley and surrounding areas are home to some of the most beautiful flower farms, specialty cut-flower growers and greenhouses. While we still use a combination of imported and locally grown products in our arrangements, we prioritize local flowers whenever possible.

PACKAGING
We only use recyclable and reusable materials in our packaging and designs. Your flowers can be composted at the end of their life, and the paper wrap and box they were delivered in, recycled. While cellophane water bags are compostable (cellophane is made of plant-based cellulose), we wanted to cut them out altogether. Each hand-tied bouquet comes in a mason jar with the lid so the flowers can stay hydrated, and you can repurpose the jar!

Don't have a use for the jar? Drop it off at the studio next time you're in the neighbourhood, and we'll reuse it for another order. Plus, as a thank you, return six jars and save $10 off your next order!

REUSABLE AND NON-TOXIC MATERIALS
We never design arrangements or event designs with styrofoam or toxic floral foam. Instead, our floral installations utilize chicken wire, moss, reusable water picks and floral tape, and “Agra-Wool” (a biodegradable foam replacement made of basalt). In addition, we encourage our event clients to rent their floral containers or purchase them second-hand and use our pickup and recycling services at the end of their event.

SUSTAINABILITY
We employ sustainable and organic gardening methods in our cut-flower garden. Our green waste from the studio goes into our hummus builder, and in a way, back into a bouquet again one day! Our flowers are also grown free from pesticides.
